TWIN-HOSE REGS

Wally Gibbins was an early visitor to Seal Rocks - when the road in from the highway was a rough track.
With Ben Cropp making documentary films on the northern Great Barrier Reef.  Together they located many ancient shipwrecks.

The brass steering wheel (above right) came from a ship in the Solomon Islands.  It was last seen in a trendy Coffs Harbour (New South Wales) hotel with other marine artifacts, presumably sold by Wal before he passed away. He caption the picture with the brass wheel, Emergency wheel, 5,000 ton USA oil tanker 'attack oiler Number one' "KANAWHA".
